Resting Warrior Yoga - Chair Yoga Certified trauma-informed yoga and meditation instruction for military veterans, first responders, their families, and other PTSD survivors in the Western Connecticut area. Veteran-run. All ages and physical abilities encouraged.Chair yoga: Yoga that is a practice for people who want to gain both strength and mobility while seated to assist them achieve their goals.
Gentle yoga: For those that are able to get up and down from their mat unassisted. The class is for all levels but will be a basic course for all to build a great practice of balance, strength and flexibility ."We put warriors at ease and teach strength through compassion and resilience. With 200+ hours of training in traditional yoga form, trauma-informed yoga, chair yoga, and basic meditation, we seek to provide a compassionate practice in a safe environment that understands the unique needs of those who have been impacted by their service and seek a restorative routine that builds a calmer mind and a supportive community free of judgement for past experiences.No chanting, no religion, no hands-on adjustments, no competition, no BS!
