Color Me Creative is back!!  Ages 2 1/2 - 5 years old This very popular preschool arts and crafts program uses every imaginable medium to stir the creative impulse in your child. Parents and children will have fun finger painting, gluing and creating together! Each week your child will bring home several themed-based projects. Children should wear an old shirt or art smock.  Parents, please bring a bag or box to transport projects home.  Instructor: Michele Gasiewski

The music club will pick up where school music programs leave off, a chance for students to get that extra attention and increased opportunity to perform.  Instruments:  Children will need a 49-key portable & rechargeable keyboard for the program.  Examples of lightweight rollup keyboards available on Amazon include Hami Roll Up Piano Portable Electronic Piano OR  49 Keys Roll Up Piano with Carrying Bag.Please do not opt for multicolored keyboards and do not apply stickers that identify the keys.   Please retain your receipts in the unfortunate case that the class does not meet our 4 student minimum.Instrument rental for use during class is available.  Rental fee is $20 for the 6 week session.

The S.T.A.R. puppy program includes the following: basic puppy-raising information (jumping, house training, nipping...), basic obedience skills, how to better communicate and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership. This program is designed for dogs less than 7 months in age who have not had any prior group experience.TWEENER Is your dog 7 months or older and never attended a basic obedience class? Then this is the group class for you! The Tweener class will cover all basic obedience skills (including how to infuse these skills as part of everyday life), how to better communicate with and understand the language of dogs, and what is needed for responsible pet ownership.*This is not a reactive dog class. Each dog needs to be privately evaluated by the instructor. Basic Obedience 1 Has your dog completed the prerequisite class of either the S.T.A.R. Puppy or Tweener Class and you're looking for the next level of training? Then this is the group class for you! Badminton is the second most popular sport in the world (next to soccer). We welcome all levels of players and offer beginners and advanced sessions. Beginners Sessions Our beginners session includes basic game and safety instruction followed by free play.  We may include additional skills lessons on demand.  Open play with all players is expected.  We have a limited number of beginners badminton rackets to use during the session. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM    Field Hockey - Beginner Field Hockey (Gr K-5)
This program is designed to expose individuals interested in playing field hockey by emphasizing fun physical activity! Young athletes will learn the fundamentals of the game while fostering a love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.Grades K-5The program focuses on developing a strong core skill set with an emphasis on repetition and getting quality touches on the ball each session. Training for students includes individual skill work as well as an introduction to basic tactical knowledge of the game such as: footwork, body position, passing/receiving, individual defense, elimination skills, shooting and more.How do I know if my K-5 grade child is Beginner or Intermediate? If your child participated in the Beginner/Intro to Field Hockey Session we held last year, they should participate in the Intermediate Session this time around.  Grades 6-9Athletes will be learning more about individual positions and their role in team play. Our goal is to improve skills, tactical knowledge, and athletic ability of our players that prepares them for the higher level of competition at the high school age groups.Requirements: sneakers, water, mouth guards (optional), shin guards and sticks.Instructors: Nicole Nocera and Dawn Hough

Well ... look no further!!    Come learn to crochet in this FAMILY-ORIENTED class!  I designed this class just for you and your family!   You will learn 4 basic crochet stitches, how to start a project and end a project, how to read a yarn label so you can buy yarn on your own after classes end, how to read a basic crochet pattern, and you will make a fun hat, too (with or without a pom pom!!)    6 weekly classes, 1.5 hours each  All materials and supplies will be provided  Requirements: Just the desire to learn and have fun! Allow Dawn to help you explore a new yoga class or deepen your existing yoga practice. Dawn fosters a non competitive, friendly environment where all students are encouraged to grow and learn. Dawn is a registered yoga teacher as well as a certified preK-12 classroom teacher with many years of teaching both children and adults. She specializes in differentiation of her instruction to bring yoga to students of all levels. Her main goal inteaching is to leave you calmer and more centered mentally and physically with skills to take off the mat into the real world.Class requirements:Students must be able to get up and down off the floor with ease. Please bring your own yoga mat, yoga blocks and yoga strap. Additionally, dress in comfortable clothing you can move in and you may wish to bring a water bottle.Mindful Yoga Tuesdays 9:30-10:30This yoga class will incorporate yoga movement and breathing that will be leave the mind calm and the body stronger. Each class will build upon different yoga sequences with modifications available. Additionally these skills can often help you to manage situational stress/anxiety/tension as it occurs once you step off your mat and head back into the real world.Mindful Yoga and Meditation Wednesdays 4:15-5:30Extra long 75 minute yoga class with Dawn designed to release tension through yoga and breath work. Gentle yoga positions will help you stretch and relax with modifications given for each yoga pose. The goal of this class is that you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and centered when you leave class. Allow Dawn to help you explore a new yoga class or deepen your existing yoga practice. Dawn fosters a non competitive, friendly environment where all students are encouraged to grow and learn. She specializes in differentiation of her instruction to bring yoga to students of all levels. 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM    Basic Boating Class - Basic Boating
The class is 8 hours long with a 30 minute break for lunch. Students are required to attend the full session.  While there is no minimum age requirement to take the class, students must be able to attend the 8-hour class and take a 60-question multiple choice test. The exam is closed book and closed notes.  An exam grade of 80 or greater is required to earn a CPWO.Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (AKA Boating Certificate) Successful completion of the class qualifies a person to purchase their Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO)  for $50 on the Sportsmen Licensing System. The CPWO allows an individual (see age restrictions below) to operate any recreational vessel including a personal watercraft.   Age Restrictions  -No person under age 16, issued a Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO) or a certificate approved by the Commissioner, may operate a personal watercraft without the onboard supervision of a person at least age 18 who has a CPWO.   -No person under the age of 16 may operate a vessel that is engaged in tubing or water-skiing. A child under the age of 16 may be permitted to operate a vessel, other than a personal watercraft, without obtaining an SBC or CPWO, if the youth is under the direct supervision of a person at least age 18 who has had a boating certificate for at least two years.   -A child under the age of 12 who has obtained an SBC or CPWO may not operate a vessel with greater than 10 horsepower, unless the youth is accompanied on board by a person at least age 18 who holds an SBC or CPWO.  Connecticut Conservation ID Number  A Connecticut Conservation ID Number is a unique and permanent number that is assigned to you by the Connecticut Online Sportsmen Licensing System. You MUST provide your Conservation Id to register for this class. You cannot take the exam, purchase your certificate or re-print your certificate without it.   If you have a Connecticut Hunting or Fishing License, your Conservation ID Number will be the same ID number that was assigned with the hunting or fishing license.   If you have never been issued a Conservation ID Number, go to the Online Sportsmen Licensing System at https://ct.aspirafocus.com/internetsales to create one.   For instructions on how to obtain an ID, click HERE Requirements:- Attendance for the full 8 hour course. Allow Dawn to help you explore a new yoga class or deepen your existing yoga practice. Dawn fosters a non competitive, friendly environment where all students are encouraged to grow and learn. Dawn is a registered yoga teacher as well as a certified preK-12 classroom teacher with many years of teaching both children and adults. She specializes in differentiation of her instruction to bring yoga to students of all levels. Her main goal inteaching is to leave you calmer and more centered mentally and physically with skills to take off the mat into the real world.Class requirements:Students must be able to get up and down off the floor with ease. Please bring your own yoga mat, yoga blocks and yoga strap. Additionally, dress in comfortable clothing you can move in and you may wish to bring a water bottle.Mindful Yoga Tuesdays 9:30-10:30This yoga class will incorporate yoga movement and breathing that will be leave the mind calm and the body stronger. Training for students includes individual skill work as well as an introduction to basic tactical knowledge of the game such as: footwork, body position, passing/receiving, individual defense, elimination skills, shooting and more.How do I know if my K-5 grade child is Beginner or Intermediate? If your child participated in the Beginner/Intro to Field Hockey Session we held last year, they should participate in the Intermediate Session this time around.  Grades 6-9Athletes will be learning more about individual positions and their role in team play. Allow Dawn to help you explore a new yoga class or deepen your existing yoga practice. Dawn fosters a non competitive, friendly environment where all students are encouraged to grow and learn. Dawn is a registered yoga teacher as well as a certified preK-12 classroom teacher with many years of teaching both children and adults. She specializes in differentiation of her instruction to bring yoga to students of all levels. Her main goal inteaching is to leave you calmer and more centered mentally and physically with skills to take off the mat into the real world.Class requirements:Students must be able to get up and down off the floor with ease. Please bring your own yoga mat, yoga blocks and yoga strap. Additionally, dress in comfortable clothing you can move in and you may wish to bring a water bottle.Mindful Yoga Tuesdays 9:30-10:30This yoga class will incorporate yoga movement and breathing that will be leave the mind calm and the body stronger. Each class will build upon different yoga sequences with modifications available. This program is designed to expose individuals interested in playing field hockey by emphasizing fun physical activity! Young athletes will learn the fundamentals of the game while fostering a love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.Grades K-5The program focuses on developing a strong core skill set with an emphasis on repetition and getting quality touches on the ball each session. Training for students includes individual skill work as well as an introduction to basic tactical knowledge of the game such as: footwork, body position, passing/receiving, individual defense, elimination skills, shooting and more.How do I know if my K-5 grade child is Beginner or Intermediate? If your child participated in the Beginner/Intro to Field Hockey Session we held last year, they should participate in the Intermediate Session this time around.  Grades 6-9Athletes will be learning more about individual positions and their role in team play. This program is designed to expose individuals interested in playing field hockey by emphasizing fun physical activity! Young athletes will learn the fundamentals of the game while fostering a love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.Grades K-5The program focuses on developing a strong core skill set with an emphasis on repetition and getting quality touches on the ball each session. Training for students includes individual skill work as well as an introduction to basic tactical knowledge of the game such as: footwork, body position, passing/receiving, individual defense, elimination skills, shooting and more.How do I know if my K-5 grade child is Beginner or Intermediate? If your child participated in the Beginner/Intro to Field Hockey Session we held last year, they should participate in the Intermediate Session this time around.  Grades 6-9Athletes will be learning more about individual positions and their role in team play. Beyond technical aspects, the course will explore the elements of light, composition, angle of view, perspective, color, emotion, and impact. Encouragement is provided for students to share their assignments with the class for peer discussion.To effectively participate in the course, participants must possess access to a digital camera.  Cell phone cameras are not considered suitable for this purpose.Youth Sports PhotographyThis photography course is ideal for those new to capturing the magic of young athletes. You’ll learn how to freeze action, tell compelling stories, grasp light, and prepare for those once-in-a-lifetime moments.
