Summer Recreation Counselor In Training (Grade 10)

This three-week leadership program is designed to prepare campers to become junior counselors by developing responsibility, encouraging teamwork, and giving CIT’s the opportunity to work with younger campers. Morning sessions will focus on learning to work with youth, leading games and activities, and
developing leadership skills. During the afternoon, CIT’s will be placed with camp groups to assist counselors in daily activities. After the completion of the program, CIT’s may be invited to return to volunteer for the remainder of the summer.

Camp Location:
Northville Elementary School
22 Hipp Rd, New Milford, CT 06776

Camp Hours:
9 AM - 3 PM

C.I.T. Program Dates:
Monday - Friday
July 5th - July 22nd
There is no camp on July 4th

Requirements:
- Must be 15 by program start date and entering grade 10
- Please register for the grade your child is currently in
- Closed toe shoes
- Bagged lunch (that does not require refrigeration) 
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen (counselors can only apply spray sunscreen to campers)

What to leave home:
Technology. Parks and Recreation is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Lynn Deming Trip Schedule
Every Wednesday (7/6, 7/13, 7/20)
Everyone goes to Lynn Deming. If you do not want your child to swim at the park please state so during the registration process. 

Clatter Valley Park Trips
7/14
Everyone goes to the park. Enjoy a day at the park participating in hiking, disc golf, field games and more!
